    IV. COMPENSATION AND HOURS薪酬與工作時間

    A. WORK HOURS工作時間

    As part of normal business operations, workers shall be entitled to one full day off out of each seven-day week.  Suppliers should not require in excess of a 60-hour work week on a regularly scheduled basis, and any such work week shall be subject to the laws regarding the payment of overtime.  In the case of those countries where laws do not limit the hours of work, workers should not be required to work on a regular basis in excess of a regular work week plus 12 hours overtime.  Workers shall not be asked or required to take work home or off premises.員工每周有一個完整的休息日是工廠正常運作的標準之一。在正常的工作情況下,供應商不能讓員工每周的工作時間超過60個小時,而且還要遵守支付加班費的法律規定。如果生產地所在國家的法律沒有規定工作時間,那么在正常的情況下,員工的工作時間不能超過一周正常的工作時間加上12小時的加班。工廠不能讓員工將工作帶回家,或在工廠以外的地方完成工作。

    Employers should recognize that wages are essential to meeting their employees basic needs.  Employers shall pay workers for all work completed and shall pay at least the minimum wage required by law or the prevailing industry wage, whichever is higher, and shall provide legally mandated benefits.雇主必須清楚工資是員工維持生活的基本保障。雇主必須為員工所付出的勞動支付工資,此工資不能低于當地法規所規定的最低工資或同等工種的平均工資(以較高者為標準),并且必須提供當地政府規定的強制福利。

    C. OVERTIME加班

    It is understood that overtime is often required in the manufacturing process.  In addition to compensation for regular hours of work, workers shall be compensated for overtime hours at such a premium rate as legally required or, in countries where there is no legal standard, at industry standards.  In no event shall this be at a rate less than the regular hourly rate.  Factories shall carry out operations in ways that limit overtime to a level that ensures productive and humane working conditions.工廠經常要求加班是情有可原的。員工除了在正常的工作時間獲得薪酬外,加班時間同樣應該有薪酬,而且此薪酬標準應根據當地法規的規定,如果當地法規無此規定則按照行業標準。加班薪酬不得低于正常上班時間的薪酬。工廠應盡量減少加班時間以保證員工的工作效率及符合人道的工作條件。
